Who we are

We are a team of professionals committed to the energy transition as a driving force in the fight against climate change. We are activists for renewable energies and projects to implement them developed with consensus, which combine sustainability with territorial balance. Beyond just another energy company, L'ENERGÈTICA aspires to be a promoter of projects that contribute to the decarbonisation of Catalonia's electricity sector.

PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and BA in Economics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Professor at Northwestern University in Chicago and associate researcher at the United States National Bureau of Economic Research and the "thinknet" Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Former assistant professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Toulouse School of Economics. Member of the Advisory Committee for Catalonia-Next Generation EU and the Advisory Council for Sustainable Development.

Albert Banal-Estañol

Full professor at Pompeu Fabra University, Director of the MSc in Corporate Finance and Banking programme at UPF-Barcelona School of Management. Collaborated as an affiliated professor at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (BGSE) and at City University London. Was a visiting professor at IFP-Energies Nouvelles in Paris. Researcher at the Public-Private Sector Research Center at IESE Business School. Former President of the Board of Directors of the cooperative Som Energia.

Enric R. Bartlett

Board Member

Professor of Public Law at Esade (Ramon Llull University), where he has also served as Dean of the Faculty of Law. Taught Urban and Environmental Law in the International Business Law Programme and Administrative Law in the Bachelor of Laws programme and various other degrees. Former Deputy to the Catalan Ombudsman. His research and publication areas include energy, with a special emphasis on the study of energy poverty regulation.

Isabel Bassas

Board Member

Isabel Bassas is a lawyer who teaches Tax Law at Pompeu Fabra University, as well as at the University of Girona and the Open University of Catalonia. She provides legal counsel to businesses for optimising regulated compensation and compliance with tax accounting specialties. Member of Esade's Energy and Environmental Club and of the Spanish Association of Women in Energy (AEMENER).

Cristina Corchero

Board Member

Cristina Corchero holds a Bachelor's degree and PhD in Statistics and Operational Research from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. She has been an instructor for 15 years in Energy Systems and Optimisation within the Statistics and Industrial Engineering bachelor's and master's programmes at both the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the University of Barcelona. Currently, she leads the research group on the Integration of Energy Systems at the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC). Since 2016, she has been an operational agent at the International Energy Agency (IEA), working on the electric vehicle integration programme, and is a member of the United Nations Environment Programme GEF Global Programme to Support Countries with the Shift to Electric Mobility on behalf of IEA. In 2020, she founded a spin-off of the IREC called Bamboo Energy.

Maria Crehuet

Maria Crehuet was the Mayor of Ordis and President of the Association of Microtowns of Catalonia, where she promoted renewable energies at the local level and in a consensus-building way across Catalonia. She also serves as an advisor to Collective for a New Energy and Social Model (CMES).

Marga Estorach

Board Member

Environmentalist and Head of the Climate Action and Territory Service at the Consortium of Environmental Policies (COPATE), where she is attached to the Energy Agency of Terres de l'Ebre. She is also a member of CMES and author of various publications.

Pedro Fresco

Board Member

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Valencia. Professor in the Renewable Energy Master's programme at the International University of Valencia. He is former Director-General of Ecological Transition for the Valencian Government (Generalitat Valenciana) and author of two books on energy transition.

Eduard Furró

Board Member

Industrial engineer, writer, educator, and communicator, as well as the Technical Coordinator of CMES. Member of GOB-Menorca.

Ana Garcia

Board Member

Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona. Member of the Board of Governors and Chair of the Economics and Sustainability Committee of the College of Economists of Catalonia. Energy management consultant and member of the Interprofessional Energy Board.

Carme García

Board Member

Consultant in gender equality and decarbonised energy models. Former Mayor of Rubí, where she promoted the "Rubí Brilla" programme. Energy transition advisor at the Viladecans City Council with VilaWatt. Board member of CMES and member of the Expert Committee on Climate Change in Catalonia. Member of the Advisory Board of the Biodiversity Foundation and Secretary of the Fòrum Ecològic.

Sara Gutiérrez

Board Member

Bachelor's in industrial engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Master's in Environmental Sciences and Management from ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles), and a postgraduate degree in Energy Efficiency from La Salle. She has over 15 years of experience working in energy, in both the public and private sectors, and on national and international levels. Former vice president of the Som Energia cooperative. She is currently working on energy transition and promoting energy communities in the public sector in Navarre.

Joan Herrera

Board Member

Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Barcelona, specialising in urban planning and environmental law, with a postgraduate degree from Pompeu Fabra University. Former director of IDAE (Institute for Energy Diversity and Savings) and currently the Director of Environmental Action and Energy at the Prat de Llobregat City Council and an associate professor at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

Pau Juvillà

Board Member

Biologist and environmental and fire prevention technician. Involved in the efforts to return hydroelectric plants in Pallars to public ownership and the creation of a Catalan public energy company.

Francesc Mauri

Board Member

Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Barcelona, specialising in meteorology. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Meteorological Service of Catalonia and a meteorologist at TV3, as well as a science and environmental communicator.

Joana Mundó

Board Member

He has a bachelor's in biotechnology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona specialising in the environment and international development. Holds a master's in Bioengineering with a specialisation in Environment from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne and a master's in International Development from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. He is also CEO of Ecoserveis.

Elena Parpal

Board Member

Degree in Economics from the UAB and postgraduate in Executive Management from the UCLA Anderson School. She has been Head of Logistics at Dia Autoserveis, Technician at Invest in Catalonia, Head of Purchasing at the Department of the Interior of the Generalitat de Catalunya and for the last 10 years Director of Purchasing at the Consorci Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya, specializing in public procurement and markets energetic She is currently a consultant.

Albert Puigvert

Board Member

Manager of ARCA (Association of Rural Initiatives of Catalonia, the network that coordinates the Local Action Groups of Catalonia (GAL)). He has been one of the drivers behind the Rural Agenda of Catalonia and the Atlas of the Rural World, among other rural innovation initiatives. Former manager of the Leader Ripollès-Ges-Bisaura Association and board member of the College of Environmentalists of Catalonia.

Xavier Sabaté

Bachelor's degree in Catalan Philology and a teacher. He has taken courses on energy, logistics, maritime transport, and ports. Likewise, he has published several articles on energy transition, is Head of Environmental Projects at the Port of Barcelona, member of the Advisory Board of AEMES, and co-founder of the 'Vall de l'Hidrogen Verd de Catalunya' and 'OIKIA'.

Josep Carles Vicente

Board Member

Farmer and member of the national permanent commission of Unió de Pagesos, where he handles Organisation, Trade Union Action, and Communication, as well as Rural Development, Environment and Rural Environment, Agricultural Economics, and Taxation. He has represented Unió de Pagesos in debate forums on energy issues.
